*New Nonresident Student
All new nonresident students requesting enrollment in-district must be approved by the District Office before enrollment can begin. Please contact the District Office at 843-386-2358 (option 4) to request a transfer request form.
The following current reports from your transferring school are required before the transfer request can be approved.
- Attendance History
- Incidents Summary
- Grade Report
- IEP or 504 Plan (if applicable)
- Transcript (if applicable)
- State and Benchmark Test Scores
Landowner -If the student is a landowner in this district, he/she may enroll without meeting the residency requirement upon payment of the approximate $1500 tuition payment.
Non-Landowner – If the student is not a landowner, he/she may enroll without meeting the residency requirement upon payment of the approximate $2,000 tuition payment and release from their residing school district.
Tuition payments can be made yearly, by semester, or quarterly. FSD5 participates with Education Scholarship Trust Fund Program. (Students must be approved by the District Office) Out-of-district students must provide a letter of release for their child from their residing school district.
It is necessary that these procedures be followed before any student is enrolled in FSD5. These procedures do not supersede or replace any existing Board policy concerning enrollment of students (e.g., students who are released from another district and approved by the Board of Trustees or superintendent for enrollment).
Student Residency
Proof of residency is required for student enrollment in Florence District 5 Schools.
